Dutch Diesel Cycling IRL Experience
October 20-22, 2023
After many virtual miles together we are bringing friends together for weekend of riding through the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. We'll pass famous landmarks, redwood trees, and smell that fresh ocean air as we cycle through the rugged California coast. Each day will start in San Francisco riding North across the Golden Gate Bridge through the Marin Headlands, Sausalito, and other coastal towns. Each ride will end in Sausalito with a 30 minute ferry ride back to San Francisco.
Pricing
The tour price for the IRL Experience is $595. This is a USAC sanctioned event and a current license is required. If you don't have a USAC license, we will provide day licenses for no additional cost for the days we are on the road.

Saturday, October 21
8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Golden Gate to Paradise Ride (38 miles; 2,036 feet of climbing)
Starting point: XX hotel, end point: Sausalito Waterfront
Meet at the aquatic park for a warm up ride and exploring. We'll start by riding through Chrissy Field with sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, make our way across the Golden Gate, we will turn into the Marin headlands where after a short climb your will be treated to a view known from movie scene's. I won't give it away yet, you have to experience it. We'll stop for photo opportunities, ride refreshments from our support vehicle and opportunity to perhaps shed some clothing. We'll descend into Sausalito where we are continuing our ride to the Paradise loop which will give us more views of the bay and we will stop in Tiburon for a coffee before we finish our ride in Sausalito to take the ferry back..
1:45 – 2:45 pm
Ferry from Sausalito to San Francisco
Meet at the Sausalito Ferry at 1:45 for a ferry back to San Francisco from 2:15 – 2:45. Enjoy the views and breezes of the San Francisco Bay.
3:00 pm
Free evening in San Francisco, or if people want to explore and eat together, meet us at XX (cost of dinner not included).
Sunday, October 22
8:00 am – 4.00 pm
Hawk Hill – Mount Tamalpais Ride (75 miles, XX ft of climbing)
Snacks, coffee and drinks at rest stops included.
5:15 – 6:15 pm
Ferry from Sausalito to San Francisco
Meet at Sausalito Ferry at 5:15 pm, Ferry departs at 5:45 pm and arrives at 6:15 pm at Pier 39 in San Francisco.
