Rider Types
To ensure the best experience on your selected tour we categorize each tour to a specific rider type so you can ensure you will be most comfortable with the pace
The Recreational Rider
Ride Style:
Rolling terrain with some bigger hills that are challenging. I feel great after reaching the top. Descending is not my favorite.
I am comfortable riding:
On average I ride 30 miles with a maximum of 2000 feet of climbing with on a long day up to 50 miles. The climbing includes steep rollers and short mountain climbs.
The Active Rider
Ride Style:
All terrain, with hills and some moderate mountain passes that I can brag about. I like getting some speed on moderate descents as well.
I am comfortable riding:
On average I ride 45 miles with a maximum of 5000 feet of climbing with on a long day up to 70 miles. The climbing includes anything from hills to sustained mountain climbs with challenging grades.
The Avid Rider
Ride Style:
I ride my bike an average of 100 miles per week and enjoy a fast pace for an extended period of time. I love to train, improve, and maybe even race.
I am comfortable riding:
On average I ride 50 - 60 miles with 5000 - 8000 feet of climbing with on a long day up to 100 miles. The climbing includes all type of terrain.
